I’d like to thank Jeff Gilmore for judging
our Specialty Show. Special thanks also to
Jane Wewer for judging our Puppy and Veteran
Sweepstakes. We’ve received several positive
comments about the professionalism and
courtesy of both judges!!

Our silent Auction table and raffle was a
huge success this year. The winners of the
raffle prizes are as follows:
The Red Pleather Bed was won by Di Filewood
The Limited Edition Blue Jay Print was won
by Sue McDermid
The Ladies Watch was won by Joan Sinclair
The Pail of Retriever Trial Goodies was won
by Carol Burrows.
Everyone who placed in their class from
first to fourth was given a prize card to
redeem at the prize table. We had several
positive comments about the Weathertop Slip
Leads and the Stainless Steel Pails.
Anyone who did not place in their class
(including specials) was given a consolation
bag as they left the ring. All of these bags
were filled with goodies. Seven of these
consolation bags had gift certificates in
them – so if you won a consolation bag
please check through it carefully to make
sure you don’t overlook the gift certificate
if you won one of them.
All of this was made possible by our
sponsors – which I’d like to thank again in
closing. But before I do, I’d like to once
again thank the exhibitors who entered our
show. We hope you come again next year. To
anyone who didn’t make it this year, we hope

Plans For Next Year
Because 2010 is our 10th Anniversary for
holding a specialty show, we’ve decided to
make it EXTRA special by having back to back
specialty shows. Here’s how it will work:
Saturday July 24th, 2010 - Labs in the
regular show at 8, Sweepstakes at 10,
Specialty Show #1 to follow after
Sweepstakes (approximately 12 noon)
Sunday July 25th, 2010 - Labs in the regular
show at 8, Specialty Show #2 starts at 10
We’ve got the go ahead from the host club,
the CKC and the show superintendent. We have
also confirmed our judges. As per CKC policy
we are unable to advertise our judging panel
until such time as we have approval. Please
stay tuned for an update on our panel once
we have approval.
